All specs used are the actual print size of the image and not the paper size. The actual size of the printed image can sometimes be slightly smaller or larger (usually larger) depending on the configuration of the original digital master.
Giclee Prints come in three sizes: Small (15" by 20"), Medium (18" by 24"), and Large (24" by 30").
Giclee prints are made with UltraChrome Inks and 225 gsm (paper weight in grams) Arches Smooth or Textured fine art papers, 308 gsm Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, or other art papers -- depending on the characteristics of the specific image being printed -- and are printed professionally by Chambers Studio using a high-end Epson ink jet printer. Giclee prints are limited to an edition of only 25 prints of any size.
Photographic Prints are also available and come in five sizes: Small (18" by 24"), Medium (24" by 32"), Large (30" by 40"), Xtra Large (36" by 48"), and Super (48" by 64").
Photographic prints are made with glossy Fuji Crystal Archive Paper and printed professionally by Peerless Printing using a high-end digital printer. Photographic prints are limited to an edition of 75 prints of any size. Please contract me directly if you are interested in ordering one of these.
In general, the Giclee Prints are more like a painting and have enhanced textures and slightly less defined colors, and the Photographic Prints are glossy like a photograph or poster and have enhanced colors and less defined textures. Giclee prints, whether produced on paper or canvas, are commonly more prized by collectors and museums than photographic prints.
All prints are museum-quality. Only archival inks and papers are used. All prints are numbered and signed by the artist. All prints are free of the identifying signature text (title, my name, year of creation) found on my online images. All prints come with a certificate of authenticity.
Cost is for the print and shipping only. Matting, mounting, and framing are not included.
Nearly every image on my site, including this one, is available as a limited-edition (of 40) "small works on paper" Giclee print. These prints are sized at 8 " by 10 and 1/2" and sell for $75.00 each. Please contact me directly if you are interested in ordering one of these "small works on paper" prints.
Giclee prints on canvas are also available. Canvas prints retain deep colors because they are coated with several lacquers just like many paintings. Such durable prints can then be stretched and mounted to wood before framing and do not need to be matted or displayed under glass. Cost is for the print only and does not include stretching, mounting, and framing. Canvas prints are included in the limited-edition run of 25 Giclee prints per image and generally run about $25-$75 more (depending on size) than the listed price. If you are interested in a specific canvas print, please contact me directly.
Special orders for Giclee prints are also available. Giclee prints, whether on paper or on canvas, can be made in alternate sizes up to 44" wide. Please contact me directly if you are interested in ordering a Giclee print at a size other than those listed.
